What is a prince’s wand?

The prince’s sceptre is a subtype of the so-called urethral or penis plugs. These are sex toys that are used to stimulate the urethra in people with a penis. Like its close relative the sperm stopper, the prince’s sceptre essentially consists of two parts: A ring that is slid over the head of the penis and holds the sceptre in position under the glans, and a movable hook. At the end of the hook is a rod several centimetres long, which is inserted into the urethra. This rod is called a dilator.

What is the prince’s wand used for?

Some people experience sexual stimulation through movement of the dilator or stretching of the urethra, known as sounding, which can lead to orgasm. You can find all kinds of sceptres with and without an opening on the internet.

Plugs with an opening allow urination and ejaculation when worn. These are mainly used by urophilia enthusiasts to experience a special stimulus. As long as the urethra is not too narrow, this is also possible with most other models without an opening. However, as a beginner, you shouldn’t go for it straight away.

What do I have to consider when using it?

Hygiene is the top priority for everything that involves the urethra. First of all, you should thoroughly clean and disinfect the toy itself and your hands. As the sceptre is made of metal, it can also be boiled beforehand. The only important thing is not to touch the plug afterwards. To avoid injury, it is advisable to use a lube. A sterile catheter lubricant is best.

The prince’s wand is very similar in appearance and use to a sperm stopper.

To insert the prince’s wand, first fold back the ring as far as possible and apply a drop of sterile lubricant to the tip of the rod. If available, use your thumb and index finger of the other hand to retract the foreskin, then gently open the urethral meatus (penis opening) and carefully insert the dilator. The knob where the ring is attached should point downward toward the frenulum.

If you encounter resistance, gently withdraw the plug slightly and adjust its direction. Once the plug is inserted, slide the ring over the glans (head of the penis) up to the corona. Once everything is in place, you can begin. To remove the prince’s wand, simply reverse the steps.

If the prince sceptre feels uncomfortable, it should be removed and tried again later if necessary. Many people feel a slight burning sensation at the beginning. However, this is no cause for concern after prior disinfection and when using sterile lubricant. However, if it is more severe or persists even after the prince sceptre has been removed, you should consult a doctor.

What do I need to consider when buying?

As always, proceed slowly. Start with the smallest dilator size and choose a ring diameter slightly larger than measured. Also, ensure sturdy construction to prevent anything from becoming loose and getting lost in the urethra.

Some manufacturers advertise their plugs for long-term wear, but even with the best models, this can eventually lead to hygiene issues. Therefore, do not be tempted by such promises.
