Hardware store utensils offer amazing possibilities, especially for those with smaller BDSM wallets, when it comes to repurposing items for kinky purposes. You can get started with just a few euros per item. Maybe some of you already have some at home. Here is our list:
Stirring wood
Normally, paint paddles are used for stirring paint or varnishes. Since they must withstand thick substances like resin, they are quite durable and thus make an excellent impact tool that can also be easily disguised. Lying around wooden planks are not unusual, after all. They come in various sizes starting from a few euros. We recommend paint paddles around 50 centimeters in length. Just be cautious of splinters. Or not, if that’s your preference.
Protective gloves
It would be a shame to enter a hardware store and not let your construction worker or handyman fantasies run wild. But heavy leather work gloves are also a real sensory experience. They come with nubs, smooth or rough surfaces. For those who prefer to avoid leather, there are vegan alternatives made of thick linen, rough cotton, or—especially wicked—wire.
